What this site collects.
Very little, and none of it is sold. Last updated October 26, 2026.
Email signups
If you sign up for the field notes or the Ajar launch list, your email address is stored by Kit, the service that sends those emails. It's used only to send what you signed up for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or email will@foundrytabor.com and I'll remove you by hand.
Kit records whether an email is opened and which links are clicked. I look at those numbers in aggregate, to see which notes are useful. Kit's privacy policy covers how it handles your data.
Page counts
Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't follow you across other sites. I see totals, such as how many people read a post, not who they were.
Hosting and fonts
The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver pages and block attacks, and may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots. The fonts load from Google Fonts, which also receives your IP address when a page loads.
Email you send me
If you write to me, I keep that correspondence as I would any business email. Writing to me doesn't add you to a list.
What the site doesn't do
The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no ads or tracking pixels. Your light or dark preference is saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere.
